Marketing - Summer Internship

We are located in the Westport area, seeking a Marketing Intern to handle simple creative, research, and administrative tasks for the company.

We have a need for an intern to work potentially up to 40 hours per week with the Marketing Department over the summer of 2020. We have some flexibility on hours if 40 hours is not possible and can discuss schedule options that best fits the right candidate. 

The candidate would be a part of a team helping the company implement marketing tactics and tools that include a new CRM package Sugar CRM and the Sugar Market MAS (Marketing Automation Tool), a new customer facing website, and Partner sites using a WordPress Multi-site platform. We are looking for a candidate who has strong marketing and martrech skills that will be crucial to all of the phases. If a candidate is strong in only one of these, we would still like to hear from them as there is plenty of work. 

Experience with the following software(s) is advantageous but willing to train;  InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, WordPress, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The candidate would report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and have regular meetings with senior managers and the CEO.  Improving our marketing is currently the company's most important objective. 

Compensation would be $15 an hour for time worked. 

The Marketing Intern will assist with the following tasks:

• Understanding the varied and complex needs of the field sales team (400+ people)         representing 6 divisions and then assisting with the execution of such:  
• Expose Sales Partners to the various marketing tools available
• Assist with content creation and posting content to Social Media feeds using HootSuite
• Working with the Sales Partners to create PowerPoint presentations for major sales opportunity
• Create emails for Divisional campaigns that are sent each week for each division
• Administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis including database cleaning
• Conduct market research for the six divisions (if time allowed)
• Website / Technical Management

o   Work with the CIO and CTO to assist Sales Partners with integration of internal          websites

o   Create content for customer facing B2B webpages

o   Review and maintain links within and between sites

o   Technical Administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis

o   Write blogs for websites
