Accounts Payable Billing Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Billing Specialist to work in our corporate office located in the Westport area in St. Louis.  The successful candidate must have an Associates Degree in accounting or equivalent experience and have exemplary skills in regards to attention to detail.  This position will process a high volume number of invoices for payment, review sales orders for billing and reconcile vendor statements. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Process a high volume of invoices daily
• Research invoice issues timely with vendors
• Assist in month-end closing while also coordinating billing efforts throughout the month
• Review and handle all assigned vendor statements and correspondence
• Electronically sort/distribute invoices to other members of the accounting department
• Adjust sales orders for partial receipts and other costing & billing issues
• Researching and answering Sales Partner billing questions
• Communicate with Partners on a daily basis to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with reports and projects as needed

Proficient with 10-Key

PC experience

Basic Microsoft Excel and Word

Organized

Detail oriented

Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications:

• Must have Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years' Accounting experience in a high volume accounting department
• Must be able to identify and use problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service and phone skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Strong Attention to detail
