Accounting Specialist

Nationwide distributor is looking for an Accounting Specialist with 2+ years' experience in general ledger accounting work. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position in a rapidly growing and changing environment. This individual must be detail-oriented, very organized, and possess strong communication skills. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Receive and process vendor invoices on purchase orders, also ensuring the correct information is recorded on the sales order
• Research invoice issues timely with vendors
• Follow up and obtain copies of vendor credit memos pertaining to cost adjustments
• Adjust sales orders for partial receipts and other costing & billing issues
• Reconcile statements and research invoice issues timely with vendors
• Daily invoicing for shipped sales orders
• Attach BOLs to orders
• Communicate with the sales teams on a daily basis to resolve exceptions
• Assist in month-end closing while also coordinating billing efforts throughout the month

Computer Skills:

Computer experience, including working with spreadsheets, is a must. We currently operate on a PC network, utilizing the following:

• Windows
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• JD Edwards - Oracle
• Crystal Reports
• Google
