Accounting Manager - A/P and Billing

We are a nationwide distributor looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise daily activities of accounts payable and billing personnel. This position will ensure the Company's policies and procedures are adhered to in the accounting function.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily supervision of accounting specialists and accounts payable processors
• Ensure all accounting controls are being followed
• Take calls from vendors and Partners about vendor credit holds or other issues where a manager is requested
• Manage the AP Inbox to make sure invoices are closed and exceptions are cleared timely
• Review additions/edits to the vendor address book for accuracy
• Review and approve all large billings and vendor invoices
• Review all vendor down payments requests; verify customer deposits were received and obtain necessary approvals
• Monitor EDI program that inserts auto-processed PO receipts and clear exceptions
• Prepare monthly manager reports
• Run Crystal reports and distribute them to be worked
• Manage ADP time system and prepare periodic reviews for staff members
• Train new accounting personnel
